SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 is available since 8th of October 2014 on a full installation medium with all initial patches. You can access the SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 installation here. Important Update: Please note that as of 7.40 Compilation 2 the following components are no longer delivered on the SAP GUI DVD:
- ECL Viewer 7.0
- Controls for the SAPscript Legacy Text Editor (when patchlevel 5 of SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 or a newer patch is installed this component is automatically removed unless you have added it explicitly).
If you require these components you can download them with the respective links below and add them to your existing NWSAPSetup installation server in order to create a complete SAP GUI installation package.

Symptom
- After installing GUI 740 Patch 13/GUI 750 Patch 0 in different languages (e,g. Greek, Russian, Polish, Hebrew, Thai, Turkish, special characters, etc...), typed characters are not displayed correctly in text editor
- Typing Greek characters like
3Ος ΟΡΟΦΟΣ, ΠΑΝΕΠΙΣΤΗΜΙΑΚΗ ΟΦΘΑΛΜΟΛΟΓΙΚΗ ΚΛΙΝΙΚΗ, ΚΤΙΡΙΟ 1 will show characters
ΕΠΕΙΓΟΝ ΠΡΩΪΝΗ ΠΑΡΑΔΟΣΗ
- Issue happens only while typing (input using keyboard in text edit control). Copy and paste works as expected.
- Issue happens commonly with VA01 and VA02 transaction but can be observed in other transactions which use keyboard input in text edit control.
